At Africa Vast Wildlife we like to give our clients the freedom of self tailor making  their own safaris in terms of length, national parks, types of accommodation, daily itinerary, etc. It is important for us to offer the most ideal vacation to our visitors to Tanzania, so by communicating closely with our clients to create their own itinerary is a common option. However, we also have a variety of standard safari tour packages available, so the client may browse to see what suits them best.

*Please note that the prices below are based on the current estimate of hotels/lodges rates, and may be subject to any changes issued by the hotels/lodges in Tanzania. Prices may also vary depending on the type of accommodation the clients wish to select.


Day 00: Arrive Arusha by Nairobi Arusha Bobby Shuttle  bus or Arrive from Kilimanjaro airport and transfer to Arusha Mount Meru Hotel in Arusha for overnight B/B

Day 1. Ngorongoro.

Leave Arusha in the morning and proceed to Ngorongoro arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Acacia Farm Lodge.

Day 2. Lake Manyara.

After breakfast leave with picnic lunch for Lake Manyara. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Manyara Wildlife Safari lodge .

Day 3. Arusha.

Early morning game drive, breakfast and return to Arusha arriving for lunch and later transfered to Kilimanjaro Airstrip and may be connecting to Zanzibar for Beach holiday

This will include, 4×4 private vehicle, private guide that will speak either English, Spanish or Japanese, all required accommodations, meals and all transfer  (Priced $1765 Per Person sharing)

4 Days Manyara Ngorongoro Walking Lodge Safari

Day 1 : Nairobi-lake Manyara 8:30am Depart for Lake Manyara National park for a full day game drive. Look out for tree climbing lions which Manyara is famous for thousands of flamingos can be seen on the lakeshore. Large herds of elephants are also seen. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Wildlife Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Lake Manyara ? Ngorongoro crater After breakfast depart for Ngorongoro crater, arriving at lunch time. Drive to Empakai crater through Morongo, Embulbul depression and Ngamat wild areas. Lunch at Empakai crater rim. After lunch with the help of armed guides, walk into the crater floor through the forested wall. Climbing the walls back to the rovers in an excellent afternoon excise. Drive to Ngorongoro Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Ngorongoro After breakfast taking a picnic lunch with you, descend 2000ft (670) in to the crater floor. Spend the whole day tracking animals, with a short break for lunch at Ngoitoktok springs picnic sites. All the big five may be seen. Other spices encountered are cheetah, elephant, grants and Thomson gazelles and hyena both lesser and grater flamingos are seen at the crater lake. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

Day 4: Ngorongoro ? Arusha After breakfast leave Ngorongoro for Arusha. We will stop at Mto wa Mbu village for shopping of souvenirs in Arusha in time for lunch.


Day 1. Nairobi-Arusha-Lake Manyara National Park .

Depart Arusha in the morning for Lake Manyara arriving by lunchtime. Afternoon game drive. Look out for tree climbing lions, which Manyara is famous for. Thousands of flamingos can be seen on the lakeshore. Large herds of elephants are also seen. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Widlife Safari Lodge.

Day 2. Lake Manyara-Ngorongoro Crater.

After a short morning game drive in Lake Manyara , proceed to one of the natural wonders of the world, the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend 2000ft (670m) into the crater floor in a four-wheel drive land cruiser with open hatch roof. Full day Crater tour at Ngoitoktok Springs picnic site. The main crater is 165km and contains constant animal population of varied species including buffaloes, rhinos, lions and elephants. Other grazing animals have made this crater a permanent home . part for Ngorongoro Crater to arrive for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena lodge.
Day 3. Tanzania Ngorongoro Crater.

After early breakfast a 4wheel drive vehicle will take you 2000ft down the crater, tracking animals. Picnic lunch at the crater before ascending back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4. Ngorongoro Crater-Tarangire National Park .

After breakfast drive to Tarangire to arrive for lunch. Afternoon game drive in search of elephants, lions, zebra, giraffes, antelopes, gazelles, warthogs, jackals, leopard and over 250 species of birds. Meals and overnight at Osupuko Tarangire Lodge.
Day 5. Tarangire National Park-Arusha.

After breakfast proceed for a morning game viewing drive, return to Arusha.

What to expect on this Elephant Migration Safari in Tanzania

‘Ndovu’ is the Swahili word for Elephant and during the months of June through October when this safari operates, you can witness the largest congregation of Elephant on earth. Drawn to the great sand rivers, and forced into migratory mode by the long seasonal dry season, as many as 4000 elephant come into Tarangire National Park. There is much more to this safari in Tanzania than elephants to be sure, but at no other time of the year can you experience this large a collection of the world’s largest land animal.

Day 1: Northern Tanzania

You’ll be personally met when you arrive Kilimanjaro or Arusha airports and taken to a lovely resort in a thick African forest, Rivertrees, in the foothills of Mount Meru, Africa’s 5th highest mountain. Activities are available for those who arrive early for their Elephant Migration safari in Tanzania.

Days 2 & 3: West Kilimanjaro

After breakfast you drive onto the western slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro onto a private Maasai conservancy of more than 60 000 acres. Bordering Kenya’s Amboseli National Park, the area has abundant game and breathtaking scenery. You’ll have opportunities to track elephant on foot, meet local Maasai and experience some fantastic game viewing.

Join others around the campfire for sundowners before gourmet dinners prepared by professional bush chefs. Gaze at the unbounded evening sky before turning in. Enjoy outstanding luxury accommodations in Olmalog Camp surrounded by the sounds of Africa.

Day 4: West Kilimanjaro – Arusha – Manyara

This day of your Elephant Migration safari in Tanzania is spent meandering through northern Tanzania, through villages that rarely see tourists, and including the booming town of Arusha as well. You’ll have a privately guided tour of an important anti-venom snake farm, and by late afternoon arrive Kirurumu, a beautiful tented lodge located right on the edge of the Great Rift Valley.

Day 5: Manyara – Ngorongoro

Dawn game drive in this park famous for its early Elephant studies, and one of the most beautiful parks on the circuit. Return to Kirurumu for lunch, and in the afternoon continue to Ngorongoro Crater on one of the most beautiful drives in the world. Stop to catch your breath at the overlook of Africa’s great natural wonder, the 12-mile wide Ngorongoro Crater. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

Full day exploring this great natural wonder. The hundred square miles contain an incredible amount of game, including large prides of lion, free-ranging black rhino and some of the most approachable eland on the continent. The unusual ecosystem has protected wildlife for millennia. Meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

Day 7: Ngorongoro – Tarangire

An early departure to arrive Tarangire National Park by noon. This is the best time of the year for this great Elephant park, with its many magnificent sand rivers and dense bush. After lunch at a northern lodge, spend the afternoon game viewing through the park, encountering the large numbers of aggressive elephant. In some respects the park is more like a southern than East African park, with its heavy woodlands. By nightfall you’ve arrived the intimate and luxurious Swala Camp deep in the southern part of the park.

Day 8: Tarangire

Full day exploring the sand rivers, woodlands and amazing baobab forests of this great park on this Tanzania safari. The birdlife in Tarangire is outstanding, sitting directly underneath a flyby between southern Africa and Europe, capturing migrants from both hemispheres. Leopard is particularly abundant here, as is giraffe. But above all, the highlight is the large numbers of elephant families, forced together after hundreds of miles of migration, to dig for water in the sand rivers. Meals and overnight at Swala Camp.

Day 9: Tarangire – Arusha – Depart

Return to Arusha after breakfast for lunch at a popular local restaurant, and for some time for shopping before returning to Rivertrees where private rooms are available until the transfers to the airport for the evening departures.

Detailed Safari Itinerary:

Arrival day, 12th June 2014

Will pick you up from airport to the Arusha hotel with the safari briefing and leave the hotel

Day 1

After breakfast, leave for Ngorongoro via Mto-Wa-Mbu village. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena lodge LDB

Day 2

After breakfast, descend into the crater for a full day crater tour with picnic lunch. Later in the afternoon return to lodge (Nogorongoro Serena) for dinner and overnight,

Day 3

After breakfast drive to Serengeti National Park with lunch picnic lunch, via Olduvai Gorge. Game drive en-route. Dinner and overnight at Serenegti Serena)

Day 4

After breakfast departure with picnic lunches game drive enrouting to Serengeti West have our lunch on the way, Dinner and overnight Mbalageti

Day 5.

Full day game drive in Western Corridor with picnic lunches. Dinner and overnight at Mbalageti. DB

Day 6 –

After breakfast, with picnic lunch, drive to the airport to fly from Lake Manayara to Zanzibar

Day 7

After breakfast, swimming and so other activities.

Swimming and other activities

Day 9

After breakfast, with picnic lunch to connect with international flight

Arrive at terminal one and transferred to catch international flight.

End of Safari.

Includes transport to the parks and back, accommodation, park entry fee, all meals, drinking water on game drives, safari driver/guide and transfers according to itinerary.
